Campsites are open, dispersed camping is allowed and there are several RV locations to choose from. Stop in at the Grand Mesa Visitor Center on 121, just off of Hwy 65 (the byway) at Cobett Lake. They will have the latest information and recommendations.

While other trails remain popular the newest to open, and take note, it's really for experienced riders, is the Palisade Plunge. The shuttle is ready starting May 28th, 2022. This ambitious trail will be the crown jewel in the valley below.

With over 300 lakes and a few streams, you can find that favorite spot on the lake or somewhere to go solo and enjoy the whole scene for yourself. Year 'round fishing is available. We can't guarantee your success.

Over 300 lakes dot the Grand Mesa allowing you to have a lake to yourself, almost!
You may need to hike into some and some are right on the highway and can be seen from the Byway.
Some lodges offer boat rental and stand up paddle boards too.
